Fall
Sunday School classes
at
9:15 AM
3-year-olds through 8th
graders: meet in the School Gym to begin their time
together – then divide into classes. We will be using the ‘Growing
in Christ’ series — which is all about growing through the Word and Sacraments:
your child will learn all the major stores of the Old and New Testaments,
putting the focus squarely on the heart and center of the entire Bible – Jesus
Christ. Lessons connect the Word of God to daily life, while strengthening
Christ-centered grateful response in lives marked by thanks and praise and
service and obedience. Growing in Christ is the life of the child of God!

ADULT SUNDAY
MORNING BIBLE STUDY:
Led by Pastor Ed in the Church Basement, the topics vary, but are always
interesting and uplifting. You will be equipped and challenged to grow in your
Christian walk each Sunday morning – please join us. Plus, it's where the coffee and goodies are!
Life Light: led
by Lynn Genter in the Lower–Level
Conference Room. LifeLight is a series of in–depth studies of Bible book and
themes. The goal of LifeLight is that through a regular program of in–depth
personal and group study of Scripture more Christian adults may grow in their
personal faith in Jesus Christ, enjoy fellowship with the members of His body,
and reach out in love to others in witness and service. Please join us . . . we
will study Prophecy – examining Old
Testament promises and their fulfillment in the New Testament, the School of
Prophets, the end of the world, and much more.
Senior High Youth: led by Mark & Becky
Denney in the Youth Room (above the Church Office). A Sunday
morning Bible study that’s meant just for you . . . come and discuss issues
facing all Christians. Grab your Bible and your friends and join us upstairs in
the “High School Hangout” room – September 9 will be the time to
pick a topic to study this year!

Opportunities:
DIVORCE RECOVERY will be both the theme and
the goal for an intensive 2-month small group – a video-based discussion, led
by Lea Metz (of Stephen Ministry).
To sign-up to take part, or to have your questions answered, contact either Lea
(772-8501; leametz@sbcglobal.net) or
Pastor Ed (682-0387; pastor@splcs.org). This
small group is open both to men and women, who have gone thru (or are now
experiencing) divorce themselves, or who have a loved one (perhaps a son or
daughter) dealing with divorce.
